Bill Steers Men's Four Miler
Join more than 450 men racing to fight prostate cancer and other men's health issues!
The University of Virginia Department of Urology and the Charlottesville Track Club present the 11th annual Bill Steers Men's Four Miler! This epic 4 mile race through the UVA grounds finishes on the fifty yard line of Scott Stadium and welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. The race will be held Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 7:30 am.
In 2004 Dr. Bill Steers founded the Charlottesville Men’s Four Miler and over the past decade the race has raised thousands of valuable dollars for men’s health initiatives and ground-breaking cancer research at UVA. Sadly, in April of this year the Urology community and University of Virginia mourned the loss of this great man. Dr. Bill Steer’s vision and dedication to this race will continue on November 8th, in honor of his enduring commitment to awareness of Men’s Health issues.
Last year, over 450 men participated in this unique all male race which finished at the 50 yard line of UVA Scott Stadium with a cheering audience of friends and family in the stands! This year, the Bill Steers Men’s Four Miler will again end in Scott Stadium and the funds will lay the foundation for the Virginia Institute for Men’s Health Improvement and Performance. Come join us!
